A small service needs clear expectations.

1. Accepting these terms

By using Typehere, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter this agreement where you live, or use Typehere with permission from a parent or guardian.

2. What the service provides

Typehere provides a browser-based Markdown editor, local browser storage, local revision history, file import and export, and optional browser-encrypted sync. Features may change, pause, or stop. There is no service-level guarantee, account recovery, or promise that Typehere will always be available.

3. Your writing remains yours

You retain your rights in the content you write. You are responsible for that content and for having the right to use it. When you enable sync, you give Typehere the limited permission necessary to receive, store, transmit, and automatically delete the encrypted bytes and associated operational metadata described in the privacy note. This permission is only for operating and securing the service.

4. Access links are bearer keys

A complete Typehere access link grants the ability to decrypt and update its linked document. Keep it secret. You are responsible for where you copy, store, or send it and for activity performed with it. Typehere cannot recover, rotate, or revoke a leaked or lost access link in the current version.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Typehere to:

• break the law or violate another person's rights;
• store or distribute content you are not permitted to possess or use;
• probe, bypass, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the service or its security controls;
• use automation to create relay records at abusive volume;
• introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.

Typehere may restrict or discontinue access needed to protect the service, its providers, or other people, or to comply with law. The encryption design may prevent content-level moderation; that does not make prohibited use acceptable.

6. Your backups and devices are your responsibility

Local browser storage can disappear. Synced data contains only the current encrypted snapshot and expires after 30 days without an accepted update. Typehere is not a backup service. Export Markdown regularly and protect your device, browser profile, clipboard, and access link.

7. Privacy and third-party infrastructure

The Privacy & how it workspage is part of these terms. Typehere uses Vercel to serve the application and Cloudflare for the encrypted relay and enrollment security check. Your use is also subject to the providers' applicable terms and policies.

8. Security is a design goal, not a guarantee

Typehere uses browser-side encryption and restrictive application boundaries, but no software is perfectly secure. The service is provided without a guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, immune from attack, or suitable for information requiring regulated storage, guaranteed retention, emergency access, or professional records management.

9. No warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Typehere is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or data preservation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Typehere and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, access, profits, or opportunity arising from use of the service. Any aggregate liability for a claim involving the no-fee service will not exceed US $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

11. Changes

These terms may change as the service develops. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continuing to use Typehere after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
