Terms of use.

1. Agreement and service

By using Typehere, you agree to these terms. If you cannot legally enter this agreement, use Typehere only with permission from a parent or guardian.

Typehere provides a browser-based Markdown editor, local storage and history, file import and export, optional encrypted sync, and one-time phone pairing between a synced writing document and a receiving computer. Features may change or stop. There is no account recovery or availability guarantee.

2. Your writing and access link

Your writing remains yours. You are responsible for it and for having the right to use it. When you enable sync, you allow Typehere to store, transmit, and delete the encrypted bytes and operational metadata needed to run the service.

A complete access link can decrypt and update its document. Keep it private. You are responsible for where you copy or send it. Typehere cannot recover or selectively revoke a lost or leaked link.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use Typehere to:

• break the law or violate another person's rights;
• store content you are not permitted to possess;
• bypass, disrupt, overload, or probe the service or its security;
• create relay records at abusive volume;
• introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access.

Typehere may restrict access to protect the service, its providers, or other people, or to comply with law.

4. Storage, privacy, and security

Browser storage can disappear. Sync holds one encrypted snapshot and expires after 30 days without an accepted update. A phone-pairing record holds temporary public data and an encrypted capability offer for up to five minutes. Typehere is not a backup service. Export Markdown and protect your device and access link.

The privacy page is part of these terms. Typehere uses Vercel to serve the app and Cloudflare for the relay and security check. Browser-side encryption reduces what the relay can see, but no software is perfectly secure. Do not use Typehere where regulated storage, guaranteed retention, emergency access, or professional records management is required.

5. No warranties

To the extent permitted by law, Typehere is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or data preservation. Some jurisdictions do not allow every exclusion.

6. Liability

Typehere is a free hobby project provided at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Typehere and its operator are not liable for damages arising from using or being unable to use the service, including loss of writing, data, access, profits, or opportunity. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Changes

Material changes will appear here with a new effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised terms. If one provision is unenforceable, the rest still apply.
